Gonzales announced committee hearings related to the issue: the Joint Judiciary Committee will meet at 1 p.m. in the Old Supreme Court to hear presentations from the Behavioral Health Administration and others on prison population projections, followed by the Senate Judiciary Committee to hear Senate Bill 25024. He urged colleagues to follow committee briefings and thanked staff and committee members working to clarify the budgetary status.
