The Nantucket Select Board voted Jan. 29 to select Waste Options Nantucket as the town’s preferred operator for the municipal solid-waste facility and to authorize the town manager to complete negotiations on a Waste Services Agreement (WSA) and an asset purchase and sale agreement (APSA). Board members said the action is an award of the RFP response and that final contract documents will be presented to the board for public review before execution.
Town consultant George Aronson told the board the evaluation committee reviewed technical and price proposals and the town’s draft contract language and concluded Waste Options’ submission met the RFP requirements. Aronson said…
