Developer says county right-of-way application remains under legal review; seeks timely decision

“We submitted our application, followed due process just to apply for this county right of way,” Annabelle told the court. She said Cordelia Power is talking with another developer (identified in the meeting as EDPR) about potential coordination but is not committed to any joint agreement; Cordelia’s application, she emphasized, relates solely to county right-of-way use within Gilliam County.
Annabelle said Cordelia’s options to interconnect to the grid grow slimmer and more expensive as time passes and encouraged the county to consider legal review and scheduling so an approval or approval-with-conditions could be issued promptly. The county’s clerk noted the application was under legal review and that the county expected to have comment from its counsel before the next meeting; the applicant indicated she expected the county’s legal advice and an update by the first February meeting.
Annabelle also asked whether new renewable projects could be permitted to use the same right-of-way and clarified that Cordelia had not yet started permitting with other jurisdictions and planned public notice to affected landowners when permitting proceeded.
The court did not make a formal decision at the meeting; staff said the application would remain in legal review and that the court would be updated when counsel’s review and any recommended conditions were available.
