The Planning & Economic Development committee approved time-only extensions for a set of contracts that allow residents to complete intake for the Housing & Revitalization Departmentโs home-repair programs through local nonprofit partners.
HRD Chief of Home Repair Rico Razzo told the committee the contracts expand residentsโ options for intake โ enabling applicants to complete intake at neighborhood organizations rather than only at the cityโs intake center. Razzo said capacity remains in the current contracts, so the department requested only additional contract time rather than more funds. The nonprofit partners named in the agenda include Wayne Metro Community Action Agency and Jefferson East, among others; contract sizes vary by partner based on expected client volume.
Committee members approved time-only extensions for the listed intake contracts and asked HRD to supply a breakdown of the partnersโ roles and the specific services they provide to the committee office by follow-up email.
