"This concurrent resolution is honoring healthcare workers who died and risked their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic," Representative Garcia said while urging adoption, enumerating roles including "doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, lab technicians, volunteers, housekeeping, and anyone else that was working in the facilities at this time." Garcia described the pandemic as "one of the most significant health care crises of our lifetime, impacting our lives, communities and loved ones."
After remarks and no further floor debate, the clerk reported ayes 68. The resolution was declared adopted and the title deemed correct on the floor.
