County says ARPA funds fully obligated; equity manager recruitment and staff transition announced

The administrator said staff and directors will continue to review department structure in light of the transition.
County staff announced that Amanda Garcia Snell, engagement officer, has accepted a position with the City of Portland as an inaugural engagement officer in the city administrator's office. The administrator described the move as a career advancement and said recruitment planning for the equity manager role is underway. Assistant county administrator Marnie Kyle will serve as acting county administrator during the administrator's travel to an ICMA conference; Anne Ober will act at the board roundtable.
Directors will return to the board with timing for equity-office recruitment and an outline of interim coverage. Commissioners congratulated Garcia Snell and asked staff to provide a timeline for the equity recruitment.
