UMATILLA COUNTY, Ore. — The Umatilla County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 15 approved a $40,000 allocation to the Helix Advancement Partnership Network to support renovation of the town'owned old school building, including an ADA-accessible restroom and museum expansion.
Cindy Wood, treasurer of the Helix Advancement Partnership Network, told the board the nonprofit has completed work on a children's room and window replacements and is now finishing renovations on the council-chambers side of the building. "We have $114,000 in our account right now," Wood said, and described other grant awards and applications: a Roundhouse grant for $30,000, a Wild Horse grant for $20,000 and $25,000 from the City of Helix.
