"I would like to request introduction of 2 bills on behalf of Michelle Reichert ... RS 0795 ... and RS 0870," Representative Proctor said; the committee made the request "without objection."
Later the committee also accepted a request from Marlee Carpenter, who identified herself as representing the City of Wichita and the Wichita Police Department, to introduce 25RS0667, described as amendments to the Scrap Metal Act. Committee members acknowledged the item has been under discussion for years and said the request would be made "without objection."
No committee votes were recorded on these introductions; the chair announced each request would be made part of the record and sent to the Revisor's Office for drafting.
