HARNETT COUNTY — County staff requested approval to award a contract for a roughly 2.5-acre expansion at the Dunn Irwin landfill and the board moved to place the award on the consent agenda.
Mister Chad Dean, a staff presenter, said the county received four bids for the Dun Irwin (Dunn Irwin) landfill expansion project and identified the lowest bid at $317,000. Dean asked the board to move forward with a contract with the low bidder and noted the county has worked with the contractor in the past.
A motion was made to add the contract award to the consent agenda; no formal recorded roll-call vote was taken at the time of the presentation and the item was slated for consent consideration.
The request covered contracting and procurement processes handled through county finance and procurement staff; specific contract award paperwork, final bidder name confirmation and formal vote were to occur as part of the consent agenda process.
