Superintendent says district tightening visitor protocols, schedules board-seat interviews and honors departing business administrator

The superintendent said a letter describing the changes had been sent to families and posted on the district website.
The superintendent also announced the district has an open Board of Education position; interviews for candidates will be held on Feb. 24 at the work session or immediately following. The superintendent said the vacancy will be advertised in newspapers and on social media.
The board publicly recognized Peter Leonard, the district’s business administrator, who will retire after 25 years with the district; a resolution and plaque were presented to Leonard during the meeting. The board’s reading of the resolution noted Leonard began his career with the district on Aug. 1, 2000, and highlighted his receipt of the Association of School Business Officials Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting throughout his career.
