Representative Orpiza asked how the bill would help the state; Mashburn replied, "It will help to eliminate or greatly slow down fraud in title theft, mortgage fraud, bogus liens filed, and documents that are related to real estate." The committee did not take a vote on the introduction; the reviser noted that details would be fleshed out at a hearing if the bill proceeds.
