Folkemeyer said off-site vaccination clinics have been running and credited county staff for operating a mobile public-health unit to support those efforts. She thanked local partners and noted the building will allow the department to host educational events, expand immunization clinics and improve access to services during peak demand such as flu season and school immunization drives.
