Sponsor and committee members reported that legislative counsel advised against embedding a raw website address (www.ndcourts.gov) in the century code. The committee first considered replacing the explicit URL with the phrase "the North Dakota Supreme Court" and later refined that to read "the website of the North Dakota Supreme Court" or "the North Dakota Supreme Court self-help website," language committee members accepted to comply with drafting rules.
The committee also revisited an amendment that had altered a statutory period from 60 to 30 days. Representative Wolf moved to change the 60-day reference back to 30 days; the motion passed on a roll call.
