The Logansport Board of Works and Safety approved street department requests on Jan. 29 that included an emergency sewer repair permit for Peterman Brothers at 837 South Siket Street and several permits for cable-construction work.
Street department representative Chad presented the applications. He said the Peterman Brothers work at 837 South Siket Street was an emergency sewer repair that he had signed on Jan. 23. The board approved the curb/street-cut application for that emergency work.
The board also approved multiple permits for Urban Cable Construction (identified in the record as cable/Frontier communications work). The approved locations included: 901 East Main Street (right-of-way boring in a mobile-home area, no street cut), 300 South Hillcrest/Oakcrest Drive (a street cut and right-of-way work) and 101 Evertz Road (right-of-way boring and an alley cut). Board members recorded voice votes in support of the permits.
Ending: With the approvals, the street department and contractors may proceed with repair and cable work subject to standard permitting and coordination with city inspectors.
