Personnel committee recommends three appointments for council consideration

The Personnel Committee on Monday, Jan. 27 recommended that City Council consider appointing Bob Lewis to the Human Relations Commission and Michael Hammer and Donna Deville to the Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) Housing Council.
Chair Lynn Snead said the recommendations will be presented to City Council next Monday night. “This will be presented as a committee report and then a motion to council at the time to approve those recommendations,” Snead said.
The committee meeting was brief. Snead presided and noted that committee member Sam Pierce was present and that Mr. Phillips was not able to attend. Snead said the mayor recommended Bob Lewis for the Human Relations Commission and that Roselle, president of council, requested Michael Hammer and Donna Deville be recommended for the CRA Housing Council. No formal vote was recorded at the committee level.
The items will appear on the City Council agenda for final action; the committee did not take a final appointment vote. The meeting adjourned after the procedural discussion.
