Council adopts rezoning ordinance 1047 to rezone 10+ contiguous acres to RSF-2

The City of Perry City Council on Jan. 28 adopted Ordinance 1047 on final reading, approving rezoning of more than 10 contiguous acres within the city from "Residential, Conventional, Single Family 1 (RSF-1)" to "Residential, Conventional, Single Family 2 (RSF-2)" pursuant to application Z24-4.
Staff presented the ordinance as required by the city's land-development regulations; council members had reviewed the rezoning request in prior sessions. After a motion to approve on final reading, the council recorded unanimous support in a roll-call vote.
A council member moved approval and the clerk recorded the following affirmative votes: Council member Grimes, Council member Hampton, Council member Woodcock, Vice Mayor Landry and Mayor Ketching. The ordinance provides for severability and an effective date consistent with typical municipal rezoning ordinances.
Ending: Ordinance 1047 takes effect as specified in the ordinance language; the rezoned property will be subject to RSF-2 development standards under the City of Perry Land Development Regulations.
