Commissioners approve annual volunteer rosters, LEPC roster and fire-suppression designees

Auditor Hatton explained the fire-suppression-designation resolution is an annual housekeeping item. Emergency Management Coordinator Andrew Delgado presented the volunteer rosters and LEPC roster; Delgado said volunteers and LEPC participants are notified when meetings occur and that search-and-rescue volunteers regularly attend training.
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the resolution and rosters. Delgado said quarterly mitigation reports and grant-related deliverables are in process and that the county is working through a communications issue with one volunteer fire department.
Why it matters: these votes preserve administrative eligibility for state grants and ensure volunteers are covered for work-comp claims and LEPC grant compliance.
