ANCHORAGE — The Alaska Gasline Development Corporation announced it has reached an exclusive framework agreement with a private energy company to privately lead and fund the Alaska LNG project, including the proposed North Slope carbon‑capture plan, a liquefaction export facility in Nikiski and the pipeline to deliver North Slope gas to Alaskans, AGDC officials said at a statewide energy press conference.
"I'm announcing that AGDC has reached an exclusive framework agreement with a qualified energy company to privately lead and fund the development of the Alaska LNG project," said Frank Richards, speaking for AGDC. He said the next step is negotiating legally binding development agreements and then starting front‑end engineering and design (FEED).
