Lacey Library Advisory Board elects Scott as 2025 chair; Amy Blonden named vice chair/secretary

The Lacey Library Advisory Board elected Scott as its chair for 2025 and named Amy Blonden vice chair and secretary during its meeting.

The board voted to elect Scott after Pam nominated him and he accepted, saying, "I will do that for year 2025. Thank you very much." Board member James moved to elect Scott, and members cast aye votes to approve the motion.

The board then opened nominations for the vice chair/secretary position. Amy Blonden was nominated and elected; the board recorded multiple ayes and no formal opposition. The clerk noted, "So we have elected Amy Blonden as vice chair secretary for the 2025 calendar year."

Members also used the meeting to thank James, who said he had completed a second two-year term and would not be eligible to continue. James recalled his service: "I've been here, like, 4 years," and described his time on the board as enjoyable. The board indicated it would prepare a certificate of appreciation and pursue recognition at a council meeting for his public service.

The elections followed routine approval of the meeting agenda and minutes earlier in the session; those procedural items were adopted by the board before the officer votes.

Less-critical housekeeping and farewell remarks closed the segment of the meeting devoted to officer selection and member recognition.
