The Sarpy County Board of Equalization on Tuesday voted to table multiple tax-correction agenda items covering several account ranges to a future meeting or indefinitely.
County Assessor Dan Pittman presented the tax-correction items and, at the board’s request, commissioners moved to table the batches. The board tabled tax-correction items listed as 17509 through 17514 (agenda item 5.2) on a motion by Commissioner Warren, seconded by Commissioner Kelly. Later the board tabled corrections 17472–17473 and 17476 (item 6.1) on a motion by Commissioner Kelly, seconded by Commissioner Warren. The board also tabled corrections 17477–17508 and 17515–17516 (item 6.2) after a similar motion by Kelly, seconded by Warren.
Each tabling motion carried with the board recording “ayes 5, nays none.” No further action on those corrections was taken at the meeting.
Why it matters: Tabling preserves the items for future consideration; no changes to assessed values were adopted at this meeting, and the assessor will return with the items when the board schedules them for reconsideration.
