Staff reported prior approvals and obligations against the interest account and estimated roughly $1.7–$1.8 million remained available after accounting for previously approved items that have either been paid or obligated but not yet disbursed. Alder Johnson moved — and the committee seconded — a motion that all future requests to spend ARPA interest funds be directed through the finance committee; committee members said they wanted a centralized, consistent review process rather than scattered requests across multiple committees.
