A previously scheduled court date was not set after Sain Construction filed a counterclaim against Smyrna Ready Mix; the judge will set a new date when the subcontractor has counsel of record and is properly served.
Officials said the Cascade floor problem was identified at installation and later confirmed. The county and school system continue to pursue resolution so students and teachers do not have to use defective floors.
