Montgomery police: Juvenile male critically wounded in Raintree Drive shooting

Montgomery Police Department Chief said officers and fire medics responded about 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 29, 2025, to the "32 100 block of Raintree Drive" after a juvenile male was found with life-threatening gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The chief said investigators have worked on the case nonstop since the incident and urged witnesses to come forward. "Anyone with information to assist us with this investigation should contact Crime Stoppers," the chief said, noting that Crime Stoppers has posted a $5,000 reward for information leading to identification and prosecution of those responsible.

The chief declined to release the victim's exact age while the investigation continues and said the shooting occurred "inside of a building in the general area we described." In response to a reporter's question about whether the shooting was random, the chief said, "I do not believe this is indiscriminate. This is not a random event."

Addressing the people responsible, the chief issued a direct warning: "Turn yourself in before things get worse for you because the Montgomery Police Department and our local state and federal partners will not tolerate it or accept it. We will find you and fully hold you accountable for your actions to the fullest extent of the law." He later added, "You will be looking over your shoulder because we are coming for you. No matter what we have to do, no matter how long it takes."
