The North Platte City Planning Commission on Jan. 22 reelected its current officers and completed routine administrative business.
On a motion by Jet Forbes, seconded by Worrall, the commission left the chair and vice chair in their current posts: Chair Jet Forbes and Vice Chair Nelson. The motion carried; the transcript records the motion and its approval but does not include an explicit roll‑call tally.
The commission also approved the minutes of its Dec. 16, 2024 special meeting on a motion by Van Velsen, seconded by Bain. The public hearing on AM25‑001 and Z25‑001 was opened and closed during the meeting; the chair closed the hearing on a motion by Bain, seconded by Matthews.
Under new business staff announced the Nebraska Planning and Zoning Association annual meeting scheduled for March 5–7 in Kearney and said staff would email information to commissioners. The chair noted she will be out of state for the next meeting and that the commission will need to appoint someone to run that session if Vice Chair Nelson is unavailable.
The meeting adjourned after these items.
