The Dunn County Committee on Administration approved budget adjustments totaling $350,000 for the Criminal Justice Collaboration (CJC) office: $100,000 in state Treatment Alternatives and Diversion (TAD) funds for treatment court enhancements and $250,000 in state opioid abatement dollars administered through the CJC.
A CJC representative told the committee: "we received 2 new grants for 2025... 1 is for treatment alternatives and diversion state dollars, a 100,000 for treatment court... and the second 1 is for $250,000... for law enforcement opioid abatement."
Committee members moved and seconded the budget adjustments and the voice vote was recorded as "Aye." A presenter clarified that the $250,000 is state-distributed opioid settlement money being passed through to counties from the state's allocation of settlement funds.
The committee asked staff to correct a typographical error in the paperwork before forwarding to the county board (a year typed as 2,255 rather than 2025).
