At its Jan. 28 meeting the West Valley School District Board of Directors recorded the following formal votes (all carried by unanimous voice vote):
• Consent agenda (minutes, vouchers, payroll, financial reports, employment contracts, resignations, retirements, separations and leave requests) — motion carried 5‑0.
• Approval of travel requests (state wrestling, girls state bowling, DECA regional/national qualifiers placeholder such as Bellevue/Florida for qualifying students) — motion carried 5‑0; DECA national travel is contingent on qualification.
• Approval of first readings for five policies: 3414 (infectious disease), 3420 (anaphylaxis prevention and response), 3424 (opioid‑related overdose reversal), 5005 (employment and volunteers), and 6600 (transportation) — motion carried 5‑0.
• Acceptance of the OSPI‑funded study and survey by Designs West (Resolution 25‑2501) — motion carried 5‑0; acceptance places the study on the district record and directs the long‑range facilities planning committee to use the materials.
