Grady Nixon explained that removing the sunset ensures the Center for Crime Victim Services retains the level of funding it has received for the past two years. "So this makes sure that, the Center For Crime Victim Services retains that level of funding it's been receiving for the past 2 years," Nixon said.
Why it matters: the fee increase has been contributing revenue to a special fund that supports victim services and local clerks; reverting the fee would reduce those resources.
