The Saint Mary’s County Planning Commission voted to approve its proposed FY15 planning commission budget and accepted minutes from its Jan. 13 meeting during a brief business session on Jan. 27.
Commissioners discussed the budget package that staff mailed earlier in the week. Bob Bowles, planning staff, reviewed the packet and asked commissioners to flag any conferences or changes they wanted during the fiscal year. "This needs everybody's approval," Bowles said while asking for a motion.
A motion to approve the proposed budget was made and seconded. The commission recorded the decision by voice vote; the motion carried and commissioners responded "aye." Earlier in the meeting the commission also approved the Jan. 13 minutes by voice vote.
The budget that commissioners reviewed was presented as the planning commission’s FY15 expense package for the coming fiscal year. Bowles asked members to notify staff of conferences or other training opportunities so staff could arrange attendance.
The votes were taken by voice. No roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript; the motions were approved by the commissioners present.
The commission recessed after completing the business items and returned for a scheduled work session on the Lexington Park Development District later in the evening.
