Two openings existed because one member had completed two full terms and another did not reapply. The library and city staff recommended both applicants; both were present at the meeting and declined the opportunity to speak.
Councilmember Bondegaard moved to approve both appointments, and another councilmember seconded. Roll call recorded "Yes" votes and the motion passed. The council welcomed the new appointees and the chair thanked them for their willingness to serve.
The appointments are administrative: they fill board vacancies and allow the library board to operate with a full five-member panel. No additional terms, compensation changes, or conditions were announced during the meeting.
