City staff member Ferguson described the contract as temporary support to “fill that gap” while the city begins the search. He told council the agreement is intended to obtain experienced interim managers to support staff and maintain operations during the transition.
Council member Milney moved to approve Resolution 4560; the motion was seconded and passed by unanimous voice vote. The council recorded no conditions or amendments to the personal services agreement in the meeting transcript.
The city will use the interim services while it conducts a recruitment for a new city manager; the resolution and contract were presented immediately after the council approved the early release of City Manager Adam R. Lincoln.
