The Fannin County board approved several short road segments for inclusion on the county-maintained road list during a twice-yearly review presented by Public Works Director Zach Rackliff.
Rackliff said the county performs the road-list review twice a year and proposed adding Prince Lane (0.1 mile), Davis Road in the Cooper Creek area (0.8 mile, from Cooper Creek Drive to the Union County line), Cooper's Drive (0.2 mile) and a 0.1-mile segment off Sparks Road. The board discussed how some roads have multiple names and that adding the Cooper's Drive segment would complete the county's record for that corridor.
A motion to accept each road addition was made and approved by voice vote. No roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript.
The additions are administrative updates to the county's inventory and will affect maintenance scheduling and budgeting handled by the public works department.
