Borough manager opens applications for Hometown Hero banners, lists board vacancies

Borough manager Rebecca told council that applications for the borough's Hometown Hero banner program will open Friday, Jan. 31. The program is first-come, first-served and this year has 23 banner slots available; the manager said banners are 30 by 60 inches and larger than the banners currently displayed downtown.
The manager also sought volunteers and publicized multiple board and commission vacancies: the historic commission; two openings on the planning commission; and a vacancy on the zoning hearing board. Interested residents were asked to submit a letter or resume to manager@millerserver.org.
The manager noted that the borough recently hosted the Lancaster County Boroughs Association quarterly meeting at the Miller School, with attendees from across the county.
