The Protection & Policy Committee voted Jan. 24 to deny an operator license application for an applicant identified as Sabrina after staff reported the applicant did not respond to requests to attend and the owner of the establishment told staff that the applicant had quit.
A deputy clerk said the applicant had been emailed to attend the Jan. 13 meeting but did not respond. Staff also spoke with the owner, who said the applicant had stopped working at the gas station. The committee approved a motion to deny the application.
The committee’s vote is a recommendation to the Common Council; any final council action will occur at a future Common Council meeting if the recommendation is forwarded.
