A deputy clerk told the committee the applicant had been emailed following the Jan. 13 meeting and that phone calls went to voicemail, which was full. Committee members discussed whether to notify the applicant that the denial will be forwarded to the Common Council; the committee approved a motion to deny and requested that the applicant be notified the matter will go to counsel as a denial.
The committee’s action is a recommendation to the Common Council; the clerk reminded the group that Common Council will take final action and may pull the item for further discussion at its Feb. 4 meeting.
No council-level vote occurred at this meeting; the committee’s vote will be transmitted as a recommendation.
