Natural Bridge Speedway owner highlights community donations; county staff notes one curfew summons

Amanda Bradley, the promoter and managing member of Natural Bridge Speedway LLC, presented the required annual report to the Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors on Jan. 27 and described charitable and community activities the speedway supported during the 2024 season.
Bradley said the track ensured weekly first‑aid coverage and nightly trash removal during events, and that volunteers and track supporters helped donate more than $6,000 to the Glasgow Rescue Squad in addition to weekly payments the squad received. Bradley and supporters organized school supply donations, gave away clothing and water bottles to students at Natural Bridge Elementary School, and provided toys and other assistance at Christmas to children whose parents were incarcerated.
"It is very important to me to follow all the rules that are set in place. It's important to me to keep everyone happy and to make sure that the track is a family atmosphere," Bradley said. She told the board the track watered roads and the infield to control dust during events and described a busy 2024 season that occasionally required running late because of weather and a large out‑of‑state racer turnout.
County staff said the Office of Community Development issued one summons in 2024 related to racing past curfew on Sept. 21. Staff also noted Bradley delivered the annual report and that the office found the speedway cooperative through the season. The board accepted the report; no additional action or permit modification was taken at the meeting.
A public commenter, identified as Francis, also spoke in support of the track and its community contributions.
