Administrators asked trustees to accept the apparent bid winners and give permission to issue contracts to JBM (general trades), Effie Moran (fire protection), Griner Brothers (mechanical/electrical/plumbing), and West Electric (electrical). A board member confirmed the group could act on the recommendation in a single motion; the board approved the motion by recorded voice and raising of hands.
Trustees commented that the bids came in considerably under the district’s earlier cost expectations; the board thanked staff for the result. The board carried the motion by a 5-0 vote. No additional contract terms or dollar amounts were released in the public meeting discussion.
