El Segundo Unified introduces new district board-certified behavior analyst Rochelle Squire

The El Segundo Unified School District board on Jan. 28 formally introduced Rochelle Squire as the district's new board-certified behavior analyst.
"I would like to introduce myself as the new district board certified behavior analyst," Squire told the governing board, describing a rigorous multi-round hiring process. She said she holds a master's degree in special education, has three years' experience as a behavior interventionist in a neighboring district, and that she was struck by the district's "commitment to the community" during the selection process.
Kim Linz, the district chief financial officer who presented Squire to the board in the superintendent's absence, said the position was "much anticipated and needed" in the district. Board members welcomed Squire and noted positive responses from parents and PTA members at recent meetings.
Squire said she has already visited campuses and begun work, and she thanked the board for the opportunity. The introduction was presented as an informational item; no board action was required or taken.
