He said funding for the Clark project will include $38,000 from Prop S set aside for accessibility, $15,800 from the operating budget for erosion control, and the remainder from the Clark PTO.

Myers said the Ambrose Playscape has been in planning for roughly 18 months and that the district received four proposals when bids opened Jan. 21. After interviews and reference checks, district staff recommended Focal Point Outdoor Solutions as the contractor. Myers said the district negotiated a roughly $50,000 reduction from the lowest responsive bidder by reducing landscaping scope (smaller trees and less shrubbery) and that the phase-1 contract amount is $804,424.
Funding for Ambrose phase 1, Myers said, will come from accumulated revenue earnings from the district preschool program, Prop S accessibility funds to make the back area accessible with a ramp from the rear entrance to the parking lot, and the capital projects fund for the remaining balance.
All three projects were approved by voice vote after motions from board members; the transcript records the motions and the chair calling for “aye” with no opposing votes recorded in the meeting excerpt. The board then moved on to the consent agenda.
