The Board of Library Trustees approved a set of routine governance items, including a corrected version of the July minutes, two months of expenditure approval lists (EALs), both August and September treasurer reports and the library's 2020 holiday-closing schedule with one change.
Trustee Sandy Hauenstein moved to accept the minutes with a suggested change to correct an internal action-note; the motion was seconded and passed on a voice vote. "I move that we accept the minutes with the suggested change," Hauenstein said during the meeting.
Trustees approved the Expenditure Approval Lists (EALs) showing recent library spending. Beth Roth moved to approve the EALs and Michael Dunn seconded; the motion passed on a voice vote. Board members asked one clarification about a July 29 payment of $99 to the public schools for building fees; staff confirmed the charge related to cleaning and facility use for a summer program.
Sandy Hauenstein presented August and September treasurer reports that showed account balances for the PNC checking account and two Vanguard investment accounts, including dividend details and small changes in share price. Trustees voted to accept both monthly reports after motions and seconds; staff noted checks for summer performers and interns will appear in a subsequent report.
Finally, trustees approved the 2020 holiday-closing schedule with one modification: when Independence Day falls on a Saturday, the board requested the library list July 3 as a floating holiday per the personnel manual. Beth Roth moved to approve the schedule with that change; the motion passed on voice vote.
All approvals were taken by voice vote and recorded as "Aye" with no opposition noted on the meeting record.
