Jim Hanley, board president, made the motion to move into closed session under the Open Meetings Act; the motion was seconded by Beth (Trustee) and carried unanimously.
The board said it will interview six candidates and aims to provide three names to the St. Mary's County commissioners. Board members said the vote to select which names to forward will take place at the next board meeting later in November. The executive session, as announced by Hanley, is being held pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, General Provisions Article 3 (citing the provision noted as 301305-1 in the meeting record) to discuss appointment matters.
