Plano shelter offers 5-cent neutering for male cats on Feb. 25

The event is for male cats only. Soller said the cat must be transported in a medium-sized plastic pet carrier lined with bedding. Vaccinations and microchipping will also be available at the clinic. Plano residents must have their pet registered; nonresidents may register on the spot for a $10 fee.
"Neutering male cats helps them live longer, healthier lives and reduces the risk of pet overpopulation," Soller said. He described the Feb. 25 offering as a once-a-year opportunity and encouraged owners to schedule soon because appointments are already open.
