Neighbor Dale Loftus told commissioners his property provides the only access to the parcel and that his driveway is within about 10 feet of his house, stating, "And, their only way they can get back there is on my right away... I would not like this. That's all I got to say about that." City Council member Albertine (Ward 3) reported that she had spoken with the applicant and neighbors and said residents were opposed because the property’s shared access and narrow drive would place commercial traffic adjacent to residences.
A motion for a negative recommendation to city council carried; the planning secretary noted the commission provided a reason for the negative recommendation. The item will move to city council with the commission’s negative recommendation.
