Melissa, the county's Emergency Management representative, told the Judiciary and Law Committee that she will submit budget adjustments after receiving multiple grants. She said one award will fund the county's five-year all-hazard mitigation plan and that this committee "would be the steering committee" for that work.
Melissa said the mitigation-plan grant is largely a pass-through: any money awarded will pass through the county to a planning agency that will handle the project. She also said she received an increase to the NG911 grant and will file a budget adjustment to include the higher amount.
No formal vote was taken at the Judiciary and Law meeting on those adjustments; Melissa said she will bring the budget changes forward through the county's budget process. Committee members asked no substantive questions during the report.
