Embassy Suites in St. Augustine Beach offers resort pass for locals, highlights community sponsorships

Mayor Dylan Rumrill opened the City of St. Augustine Beach's January 2025 "Monday with the Mayor" broadcast by introducing Matt Paula, assistant general manager of the Embassy Suites in St. Augustine Beach, who described the hotel's local programs and recent community involvement.

"Embassy Suites is, been here for almost 6 years," Paula said, noting the property has "217 rooms" and spaces for residents and visitors to gather. He told Rumrill the hotel has been an active sponsor of city events, including Beach Blast Off and local Art Walks.

Paula said the hotel provides event space and in-kind support to local nonprofits. "United Way comes in. We do a, we give big, huge donations by giving our ballroom up, and we do a dinner for them," he said; he also said the precise dollar amount of the donation was not specified in the interview.

Paula described a new offering for residents: "we are doing a, resort pass, which is our way of giving away to have locals come to our pool and use our facilities. So we have it so that you can rent a cabana or you can rent chairs and come to our pool," and he directed listeners to resortpass.com for reservations.
