Medina Valley ISD trustees voted unanimously on a slate of motions Jan. 27, 2025 covering meeting minutes, school branding, the academic calendar, procurement methods, a materials-testing change order and the purchase of water rights.

- Change order for materials testing at Creek View High School: The board approved change order No. 1 to increase the materials-testing contract with Raba Kisner from $553,876.20 by roughly $200,000 to $753,876.20 to cover increased testing needs; presenters said the original construction-phase allowance for materials testing was still below prior budgeted estimates. Motion: Joe Biediger (mover); Matt Caslione (second). Vote: unanimous.
- Orders calling elections: The board called the May 3, 2025 general election for trustees in single-member Districts 3 and 4 and also called a special trustee election for the unexpired District 1 term to be held May 3, 2025. Motion for Districts 3 and 4 order: Matt Castiglione (mover); Joe Biediger (second). Motion for District 1 special election: Joe Biediger (mover); Julie Campbell (second). Vote: unanimous on both.
- Purchase of water rights: Following closed-session consideration, the board approved the purchase of 121.7 acre-feet of water rights. Motion: Matt Castelloni (mover); Joe Biediger (second). Vote: unanimous.
Other votes recorded on the meeting agenda (all motions carried unanimously): approval of the mascot logo artwork variations; bidding and procurement recommendations; and routine consent items.
