Superintendent seeks board authorization to continue Freeman and Snipes restart status

Worthington said the restart model also allows calendar flexibility that schools may use for additional instructional or professional development time and community programming. The board was told that the state met with district leaders and approved the district’s request to seek a five‑year authorization renewal; the board will vote on the authorization under the consent agenda at the next regular meeting.
No vote was taken on the authorization at this meeting; staff said the district will include a consent item next week for formal board approval.
