At its Jan. 28 meeting the Longmeadow School Committee recorded several formal actions by roll‑call vote. All recorded votes listed below passed with all members recorded as “yes.”
Approve minutes — The committee moved and approved the minutes of the Jan. 14, 2025 School Committee meeting as presented. Roll call recorded the members as “yes.”
Consent agenda (building use) — The committee approved a consent agenda of four building‑use requests reviewed by the finance subcommittee: Longmeadow High School boys’ basketball booster club (end‑of‑year award ceremony, March 5, high‑school cafeteria), Longmeadow Parks & Rec (coed basketball clinic, Feb. 21, high‑school gym), Longmeadow High School Music Italy tour (high‑school parking‑lot use for travel drop‑off/pickup, Feb. 14 and Feb. 22), and Wolf Swamp PTO (Valentine’s bingo, Feb. 7, Wolf Swamp gym). The finance subcommittee reported it had also discussed JV hockey fees and booster‑club support in a separate conversation. The consent agenda passed on roll call.
FY25 grants and special revenues revision #1 — The committee approved a revision to the FY25 grants and special‑revenue budget that updates grant awards to reflect finalized amounts. The revision as presented had a net increase to FY25 special revenue of $35,954.20 (specific line changes included reductions to some federal grants and increases to others, and an increase in MedCo funding), and the committee approved the revision by roll call.
