City begins Jacob Miley Park drainage and field rehabilitation, staff says

Deputy City Manager Lehi Milton told the St. Helena City Council that a capital improvement project to rehabilitate drainage and the field at Jacob Miley Park is due to begin at the end of the week or early next week.
Milton said the project will close the field and a portion of the parking lot for roughly 30 days but staff will keep about two‑thirds of the parking lot open and leave playgrounds and pathways accessible. The work will include installing all‑new irrigation and, when field work is finished, a landscaping beautification phase.
Milton said the parks and recreation department will coordinate with the recreation division to have the field available for spring sports once work is completed. The city warned residents about the temporary closures and encouraged patience during the rehabilitation period.
