Council schedules executive sessions; special election date set for Feb. 25
Summary

The city manager also said the governor released a biennial budget proposal for 2026–27 and city staff will provide legislative recaps as bills are printed.
At the end of the workshop the council voted by roll call to enter executive session on two items. The motions and roll-call votes were recorded as follows:
Motion 1: "I have a motion going into executive session under 1 MRSA 405, 6 section c, disposition of real property or economic development." (moved and seconded)
Roll call: Council Chair Pelletier — Yes; Councilor Mallard — Yes; Councilor Beck — Yes; Councilor Dean — Yes; Councilor Haas — Yes; Councilor Fish — Yes. Outcome: approved; the meeting moved to executive session.
Motion 2: "I have another motion here for executive session. 1 MRSA, 405(6), section e, consultation with city solicitor." (moved and seconded)
Second motion recorded and approved by roll call with the same attendance and affirmative votes. The council entered executive session for the two cited statutory purposes.
