At its Jan. 13 meeting the Bangor City Council approved a consent agenda and referred two funding resolutions to committee.
The consent agenda passed unanimously and included three orders: 25-043 (appointing constable for 2025), 25-044 (appointing nominees to boards, commissions and committees), and 25-045 (appointing code enforcement officers, electrical and plumbing inspectors). The roll-call vote was 7–0.
Two items were referred to committee and taken as first reading: Resolve 25-046 to accept and appropriate $6,731,241 in additional construction funds from the National Guard Bureau for runway rehabilitation at Bangor International Airport and to execute a cooperative construction agreement; and Resolve 25-047 to accept and appropriate $35,698 for the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program to purchase an electric vehicle and EV charger. A councilor moved to refer both items to committee; the motion passed on roll-call vote 7–0.
Those two resolves were placed in committee for further review; no final appropriation or execution of agreements occurred at the Jan. 13 meeting.
